Carry Welsh: Carry was born in Huntington Beach, CA, and in this great surroundings she developed her talent for music and singing. Her parent always supported her musical ambitions and after highschool she studied piano in Ohio. Later she came back to her homeland California and worked in a lot of recording studios all over Los Angeles as a background singer. She is also well-known for her live piano performances and she is a member of an independent folkrock band. Al Persey: Born in Ireland, Al Persey early left his hometown Galway to follow his passion as a guitarist and studio background singer. First he could not make a living of his music and so he worked in three daily jobs. In the morning he worked as a cleaning assistant, at lunch time he helped out in a fastfood restaurant and in the evening he played with his band on smaller stages. Meanwhile he can make a living of his talent and he has played with a lot of well-kown artists in Ireland. Today, Al P. is the first choice when it comes to of background vocals in a lot of recording studios. Jack Weatherford: Jack was born in Brisbane, Australia. At the age of 20 he went to Melbourne to start a career as a technician in a recording studio. One day when he had set up a couple of microphones for an Australian A-artist in the recording room, he sang along some pop songs. That day, the owner of the studio and the A-artist heard his amazing vocals and they discovered his extraordinary talent as a singer. Jack was immediately asked to sing the background vocals of the A-artist#s complete album. No legend - he quickly became one of the most booked background singers in the city. An almost incredible career. Christina Veil: Early on, at the age of 12, the singing teacher of Christina realized that she was an exceptional talent with a special voice. Her parents were happy and they wanted to support her talent. Christina was born in Lagos, Portugal, and she constantly expanded her musical knowledge. In 2010 the talented native Portuguese started with some smaller studio jobs in Porto. The producers loved her vocal sound and she could make a living of her singing. Later she moved to Lisbon where she worked in various recording studios and supported numerous Portuguese artists with her background vocals until now. Dan Newman: Dan is a British guy coming from Liverpool. He was a natural talent in music and his parents called him the „noisemaker“ because at the age of 6 he played drums on his mother‘s cookie can :) After he finished highschool he went to Manchester to make some money. First he worked late at night in a popular Indie pop band as a keyboarder. Later on, the audience in the various night bars loved Dan‘s singing and they asked for Dan to sing them some actual pop songs. At that time he developed his extraordinary talent as a background singer and accompanied some of the most- known A-artists in the U.K. Up to now he works in a lot of recording studios all over Great Britain. Dave Bowden: His German ancestors emigrated to New Zealand before the war. Dave was born in Auckland and as a young adult, he went to various music bars and entertained the guests with his self-written songs. One day a well-known music producer saw him, offered him a contract as a front stage singer and worked with him in his recording studio. While working on his first album, they discovered his enormous talent in singing background vocals. A big record label contracted him and from then he could make a living on his skills. Freyana: „When I will be an adult, I will sing ethno-pop songs“ was Freyana‘s statement when she was 12 years old. She had always been enthusiastic about this style of music. No wonder- she was born in Jerusalem, a city full of myths and legends. The desert was lying in the neighborhood and pop music was her constant companion. Although she first had to cope with several jobs to make a living from, she eagerly worked on her career as a ethno-pop singer. And she was successful. When it comes to ethno pop songs today, Freyana is always the first choice in artist circles. When a music producer is looking for background vocals in this genre, she is one of the most booked female singers. Mandy Core: „Darling, what are you doing here?“ her mother asked when Mandy was at the age of 10. She was standing under a palm tree and sang popular Hawaiian folk songs just for herself. Her vocal sound was so nice that her parents decided to pay her some lessons in singing until she was 14. Mandy was born in Hawaii and her preference for Hawaiian folk music continued as an adult. At 15 she also learned to play the ukulele and at 16 she learned the guitar. During all the years she always took lessons in singing. At the age of 18 she studied History and she was always interested in the traditions of her nice island. Today she works as a music teacher in Hawaii and when it comes to background vocals for some well-known Hawaiian artists, Mandy is always the first choice. Matt Hicker: Matt is a romantic soul. He loves to sing soulful ballads and to express his emotions through his passionate vocals. In his hometown Amsterdam he first became a firefighter and he was really proud of this job. At the weekends, he sang in a Dutch folk music band and played the bass guitar until he always wanted to start a career of his own. One day he came to know a Dutch music producer who discovered his vocal talents and offered him a contract as a studio singer. After one year Matt quit his old job and works until now as a background singer in the producer‘s music studio. Mariana: What is better than one musical parent? The answer is: two musical parents! Mariana grew up as a child of two musicians. Her mother played the Oboe in the Argentinian state orchestra and her father was a music teacher in Buenos Aires. They developed the musical talent of their daughter. During her childhood Mariana learned to sing Argentinian music in Spanish language. Later on, she focussed on her studies in piano and singing. Today Mariana accompanies several Argentinian A-artists live on stage and she works as a background singer in various recording studios in Buenos Aires. Will C.: When his parents asked Will at the age of 5 what he wanted to be, he shouted loudly “Singer!”. They bought him a karaoke system, on which he quickly learned and sang all of the top hits of the time. Born in Oklahoma, he grew up playing horses and musical instruments before the family moved to New York. There he sang in various bands and applied several times for "America’s Got Talent". Nevertheless, he remained true to his passion for karaoke and took part in numerous competitions. Today he works in an indie rock band as lead singer and in the studio scene as a freelance background singer. Janella: Janella is an English singer and songwriter. At 11 she accompanied herself on the piano and was able to sing all the songs of her favorite singer Whitney Houston. At that time, she already wanted to become a singer. But first, her parents demanded that she finish high school and learn a non-artistic profession.As a trained social worker, she went to London and sang in various clubs on the weekends until she was discovered by an indiependent record company and signed a two-year contract there. During this time she accompanied many well-known English artists on stage as a background singer. Collybird: Collybird was founded in late 2019 as a project by an Australian DJ and a German singer. The two musicians had already met at a pop festival in 2018, had similar hobbies and decided to write songs together. The distance was not an obstacle. In order to be able to exchange ideas personally about their songs, they skype daily and use the Whatsapp functions. The idea behind the music project was to invite additional singers for each song, who enriched the hooklines and thus gave the songs their own character. The songs were recorded in different places with the help of the Internet, a musical globalization. Lucky Affairs: A French electro-pop music producer from Paris and a Spanish background singer from Malaga have teamed up for this project. Their goal was to combine electronic music with a pop vibe. They carefully combined electronically generated vocal sounds to create modern pop music that could be danced. In 2017 she moved from Malaga to Paris in order to be able to contribute more to the local music scene. In 2019 they were allowed to compose the title melody for an early evening series on a private broadcaster. The two are also close friends in their private lives and never miss an opportunity to pursue their hobby of playing tennis. Sam Ribo: Sam was born in Portland and his parents early noticed his musical talent as a singer. He got his first singing lessons at the age of 10 and sang in the church choir at an early age. After Sam graduated from high school and college, he moved to Chicago to become a manager in the metalworking industry. Nevertheless, he remained true to his dream of singing his own songs and asked a well-known music producer for support. Since then Sam has been singing a new song in the studio from time to time alongside his main job. In his little spare time, he restores old motorcycles. Vanessa Graham: Vanessa was born on Norfolk Island. She was a shy girl and started playing the piano when she was 8 years old. Besides music, she loves nature and often accompanied her single mother on hikes across the Pacific island. When she was 18, she moved to Manchester, England, where she sang in a few clubs. A producer of a major label became aware of her and hired her for regular jobs in the studio as a background singer for various pop bands. In her spare time, Vanessa wanders the woods of Blackley Forest. Legacy Room: Legacy Room is a DJ project by two young French musicians who play records in clubs in Normandy on weekends. Both got to know each other through a shared hobby, running marathons. During the week the two friends work for a shipbuilder in Le Havre. After work they meet in the studio to try out their ideas and write new songs. They still have big plans and dream of one day being on the world‘s big stages. Mike Stuff: Mike was born in Halifax and sang in the local church choir when he was 8 years old. His family took pride in his artistic skills and took singing lessons to develop his talent. He quickly learned to play the guitar and wrote 16 pop songs for his school orchestra. After completing his training as a social therapist, he auditioned at a music theater in 2015 and was promptly hired. There he is now on stage every day as a musical singer. His career as a studio singer ran parallel to his numerous other musical activities. In his spare time, Mike plays on a successful amateur table tennis team. Cindy Belham: Cindy sang a birthday song for a friend at a party in West London. Coincidentally, there was also a well-known music producer there who invited her in his music studio because of her interesting voice. There Cindy learned to use her voice like an instrument and just 6 months later she was able to record her first single. She was born in Leicester as one of three daughters. She spent her youth in the country, where she learned to ride and later even celebrated some successes in equestrian sports. Even today, she regularly takes the time to look up traveling the country and taking care of her horse "Elsa".
